This week brought us a couple of trips to “The Land” and American Independence Day, otherwise known in the US as the 4th of July along with episode 2 of our new podcast “Podketeers“! It was an exciting week (podcast-wise) because we were officially entered into the world of the iTunes Store.
The first set of photos comes from the wonderful ‘Fantasmic’ where we see our plucky young hero (Mickey) getting ready to shoot Maleficent with what appears to be a Roman Candle to show his patriotism as he defeats evil! The 3rd photo is one from Pirates of the Caribbean that made me really want a cool waterfall in my back yard with glowing blue light.
On the actual 4th, we started the day poolside having a Lemon Shanty. Later that evening it was followed by 4-5 seconds and $20+ of pretty light and smoke. A lot of smoke. We finished off the night with cake (not pictured) and using sparklers to write our names in the air using long exposures. As you can see, I got to show off my “wonderful” (and I use the term loosely) penmanship.
