Running a contest can be very stressful because you never know if people will be interested. Thankfully, I had a handful of people that submitted answers and made my first Facebook/Instagram contest a success! A huge thanks to everyone that took the time to participate and spread the word about my contest(s).
With that said, congratulations to our Facebook winner Inzunza Roxen! She won the 12×18″ print of Sleeping Beauty’s Castle! The Facebook winner was chosen at random by the Contest app that was running the giveaway.
We had a little more fun selecting the Instagram winner(s), though. As 6 PM rapidly approached while I was vending at the Art Walk in Downtown Covina (which happens the first Saturday of every month), I searched for all of the names of the people that shared my post on Instagram and wrote down their names. I put all the names in a small tin, mixed them up and my friend Michelle, helped me select the winner. This part was fun because everything had to be done in 1 take within the 15 seconds that Instagram allows for video length. @evylove12 was the winner of the contest and she even came by later to pick up her prize (and she dropped off “thank you” cookies, too)!
Shortly after selecting the grand prize winner, I decided that it would be fun to give away two impromptu prizes so I gave away two 8.5×11″ versions of the Sleeping Beauty’s Castle print.
